Right, here we go, this is the first blog for over six months. I used to have another one but it sorta got defunct, I've put the link below if anyone is interested.

Anyway, today is a good day, weather has held off so the wind and rain are not beating me about the head when I go out and hopefully in an hour or so we shall be out with the grandson, up to Fort Nelson, which is an old naval fort, here in Portsmouth. Lots of history and big guns and suchlike, and it's free entry, bonus.

Hopefully everyone had a good christmas, lots of good cheer and all that. Ours was fairly quiet, visited the grandchildren on Christmas morning then off to the youngest daughters for Christmas lunch. First time in 27 years that I haven't cooked a christmas dinner, could get quite used to it actually, lol. The evening was a quiet one, just me and the missus and a bottle of red with chocolates and the TV. What more could you ask for. 

New Years party at our house for a few friends, then New Years day it was off to Somerset to visit my youngest grandson who was one year old. he was a 1/1/11 baby. We don't get to see him that much, distance and all that so it was a pretty special day, lots of photo's. all on Facebook now but I'll stick one or two on here.

Now it's back to work and get stuck in with a few projects too keep me busy. So I think that's enough for a first time, lets hope I keep it up. Any comments welcome as I am hoping to find loads of different people to chat and make friends with, and of course if your around this area, your welcome to pop in for a coffee etc.
