I'll start off with a funny story. My partner's daughter hadn't been married very long, it was Xmas so I told her if she wanted really yummy roast potatoes to cook them in goose fat. There was a pause then Katie said'so I'll have to have a goose then'!

Comment by Kayjay on January 4, 2012 at 16:33 Did anyone else make their own christmas cake this year? I usually use an old family recipe, but this year I decided to go for a change and did Delia's old faithful. Omg, if I say so myself, it's gorgeous! :o)
No I didn't I bought one and it was so awful. It was so dry and tasteless. My mother always made her own and they were beautiful. So moist and rich. Maybe I should do Delia's next year.
Comment by Kayjay on January 4, 2012 at 16:51 I would say a definite yes Carol, it's really good.
