I think I may leave this site. It seems to be turning into something that no longer sounds like my scene.

Anyone else feel the same?

If I wanted to join farcebook then I'd join that site. I need a site where I feel at home.

try a site called "oldmutualfriends" marc. i go in there and there are some lovely people :-)

its friendly and simple to use, maybe if we all join it will be a thriving and happy/chatty place to be :-)

Are there no lovely, friendly, chatty people here then guys? :(
im not too keen on the layout but i am here with friends (hope i can class you all as that) so i will be staying around to get used to the place. i dont post as often as i did but that is because i find it slower to move from one part to another :-)
We're all old friends and the new site doesn't take long to get used to. It's up to the individual how much or how little they wish to experiment with. I'm sure that there will be further tweaking too, to simplify some of the clumsier aspects.

I used to belong to mse but didn't really like it and had a falling out with a mod or someone so closed my a/c

never really had any friends on any sites, I'm just a loner who hangs around on the edge for some sort of company.

I belong to some special interest forums that keep me slightly amused, ortherwise I'd jack the web in completely and do something more constructive.

to be honest it will do me good to spend a little less time in here anyway but i couldnt leave for good :-)

I'm not completely sure what it is that you're looking for Marc, but I find company here, as much as, if not more than, I did on the old site.

I doubt it would make a difference to you, but I think I'm fairly easy to get on with and rarely turn down the offer of a new friend. My 'door's' always open if you'd like to chat :o)

i agree with marc on this one.to much time spent on these forums produces not a lot.its like when a clique forms like on its sister site then its time to go."i" just cant believe that some of the members from mutual friends sister site "just" how many years some of the members have been on there.
I'd like to think that the friends that I make here are for 'years', if not for life. It is not my intention to move on when I have gained a circle of close friends, for fear someone may regard that as a clique. There's room here for everyone and everyone is welcome and I'm very happy to be part of it.
kajay,a nice reply.glad we are all different,it makes the world go round.cyber is a drug for some, others like myself take it or leave it.true friends in the outside world take years to establish.good luck in your cyber world kayjay.at least people like your 'good'self keep these places open.
As a newbie who has really known nothing other than this site all I can say is that I've been made very welcome by all people I have befriended and already had relatively deep conversations and others that actually have been toilet humour!  Although I didn't really like the cluttered home page and the realisation that when I wrote in the comments section it went to everyone I've quickly got used to it and as people have said it's the people rather than the site I'm liking!  MF to me is a great distraction to a busy working day and if I make friends with it, cyber or otherwise, it has to be a good thing.
I'm liking that Steve :o)
